I have written a little ditty to commemorate the first 12 days of 2011. If you care to sing a long, please do so to the tune of the Twelve Days of Christmas. It goes like this:

On the first day of the new year a laundry basket gave to me, a muscle spasm in my lower back
On the second day of the new year my husband gave to me 2 extra strength tylenol, for the muscle spasm in my lower back
On the third day of the new year my good friend gave to me 3 aleve tablets, for the muscle spasm in my lower back
On the fourth day of the new year my medicine cabinet gave to me 4 expired muscle relaxers, for the muscle spasm in my lower back
On the fifth day of the new year my health insurance gave to me 5 visits to the chiropractor! 4 expired muscle relaxers, 3 aleve tablets, 2 extra strength tylenol for the muscle spasm in my lower back.
On the 6th day of the new year Elizabeth gave to me a wheel chair ride to the 6th floor (of my doctors office)
On the 7th day of the new year my doctor gave to me 7 mg of valium, for the muscle spasm in my lower back
On the 8th day of the new year my pharmacists gave to me 9+ tablets of vicodin, for the muscle spasm in my lower back
On the 9th day of the new year my husband acquired for me 9 days worth of naproxen, for the muscle spasm in my lower back
On the 10th day of the new year my family room gave to me 10 hours lying on the floor, for the muscle spasm in my lower back
on the 11th day of the new year my electrical socket gave to me 11 amps to the heating pad, for the muscle spasm in my lower back
on the 12th day of the new year my new perspective gave to me, all my ceilings need to be painted, 11 amps to the heating pad, 10 hours on the floor, 9 days of naproxen, 8 tablets of vicodin, 7 mgs of valium, 6th floor ride in a wheel chair ...... 5 ...... visits...... to the chiropractor......... 4 expired muscle relaxers, 3 aleve tablets, 2 extra strength tylenol for the muscle spasm in my lower backkkkkkkkkkkkk!








Oh, no! I wondered where you were. Don't attempt to paint ceilings when you are finally drug/pain-free.

That's SOME muscle spasm! Did they do an xray/MRI to rule out a slipped disk?

I take it you have a sore back? gosh, I hope it's not causing you too much trouble. If it does, you should consider writing a blog post about it. So I guess you haven't been hitting the slopes on sleds or skis, huh?
